Our Peace Yoga teacher course has been designed to equip you with a scientific understanding of yoga. To further enhance deep learning, we will cover the spiritual elements of yoga.
We offer both in-person and the opportunity to learn by correspondence. Alternatively, you may wish to do a combination of both options to expedite your yoga study.
About the Course
The course is run at each students individual pace so that trainees can find time in their daily routines to enjoy their studies and the beauty these ancient teachings bring into their lives. The opportunity is available to take as long or short duration to complete the course at the Trainees discretion.
Upon completion of our yoga course, you will be officially qualified to teach yoga. Our goal is to provide a platform for students to gain knowledge for life, build the confidence needed to practise and teach yoga to others through loving kindness.
Delivery Modes
It is a pre-requisite of this course that teacher trainees are 18 years of age or over. All applications will be considered on their own merits.
Available Options
1
At least 350 contact hours in a format suitable to teacher trainees and studio (currently run as study mornings, afternoons or evenings and alternately done as correspondence study). This is done at a relaxed pace which can take approximately 6 to 12months.

A fast track option consisting of face-to-face intensive workshops and part correspondence. This is done at a semi- relaxed pace which can takes approximately 5 months.

An intensive full time study option consisting of face-to-face and if needed part correspondence. This option is offered over 5 weeks and is ‘intensive’

Arranged to suit your budget and study schedule. There is $150 surcharge on 6 month payment plan and $250 on 12 month payment plan.
Note: No refund of fees is available should the teacher trainee not complete the course and balance of monies owing will be due and legally owing.
Yoga Teacher Course Outline
Level 1 & 2 Peace Yoga (Hatha) Instructor
YTAA REGISTERED (YOGA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA)
TIME: Class is conducted at the Peace Yoga studio. Each trainee will be offered approximately 350 contact hours. The face-to-face classes are conducted on Tuesday afternoons or evenings. However, this can be changed to suit trainees’ schedule.
This course is also offered to be completed through correspondence. Alternatively, there is the option to combine face-to-face and correspondence programs to fast track your studies.
FORMAT: Final examination of each core subject is taken in the form of a 3-hour written examination. There is also extensive practice of Asana and instruction of Asana, Pranayama, Mudra and Bandha.

EXTRA REQUIREMENTS: Students to read essential reading list, attend three-day spiritual retreat plus complete one-month spiritual living (in their home setting), as recommended in Ayurveda outline. Homework Assignments include research, self-referral and teaching an 8 week beginner course free of charge to friends, family, or community.
NOTE: Trainees also need to complete a further 100 hours on their Yoga mat prior to certification, in accordance with Yoga Australia requirements.

**Teachers Are Required To Live According To These Instructions For One Calendar Month And To Complete A Chart Confirming Their Adherence To These Instructions, Prior To Certification.
SELF PRACTICE
Trainees are expected to complete 100 hours on their Yoga mat prior to certification.
Once qualified they are encouraged to continue their personal practice and daily regime.
INTEGRATIVE PRACTICE AND TEACHING
From the onset, trainees are gently guided and instructed on not only how to improve their own Yoga Asanas but also how to skilfully guide their future students to develop their own authentic practice.
When they feel ready, trainees are required to deliver a Physical Assessment Class to their classmates and on passing this assessment, they are assisted to design and write up an 8 week Beginner Yoga Course from the material they have practiced teaching to their colleagues.
Trainees must then teach this course free to at least 3 students who then submit a reference for approval. These classes can be offered to Mental Health Patients at Robina Hospital, a Private Mental Health Clinic or even as free community classes with any donations being offered to charity, or family and friends.
Before graduation there is a further physical assessment class to be delivered to cater for pregnant and general students simultaneously.

**Note** Trainees spend many hours with other trainees and instruct each other and Master Teacher with every asana and breath and technique – eg relaxation Kriyas, and Meditation. This assists trainees to become accustomed to teaching in front of their peers prior to teaching others. This builds and deepens personal practice.
Weekend Spiritual and Yoga Retreat
All trainees are required to attend a weekend retreat where all attendees live in yogic fashion and spend many hours in practice.

Trainees are instructed in specialized Asanas, Pranayama, Bandha and Mudra to assist in the wholistic healing of wide range of body inbalances. Eg., anxiety, insomnia, chronic fatigue, hypertension, constipation, liver complaints etc
Trainees are required to do homework including reading from essential book list.
Attunements in natural healing (Reiki 1 and Reiki 2) are included as bonus. You will receive certification in these levels and become qualified practitioners.
Reiki one and two bonus dollars can be exchanged for classes to obtain the required 100 mats hours (conditions apply)
